Welcome to Maine Bee Wellness’s website! Here you’ll find information about us, our programs, bees and other native pollinators in Maine! MEBW strongly believes that while Honey bees are not natives here, there is plenty of room and resources for both them and native pollinators, and that the biggest challenge all bees and pollinators face is having a healthy ecosystem to live in.

We’re buzzing with the bees in Maine; thank you for finding us!

What’s New?

10/13/2019 - MEBW will sponsor five Maine Apiaries participation in the Bee Informed Partnerships’s (BIP’s) Sentinel Apiary Program. More Information will be published on this web site in early November. In the meantime, you can see a First Draft of BIPs Sentinel Apiary Data for Maine for 2018 - under Resources on the menu.

Thanks to New York Bee Wellness and Pat Bono for inspiration and guidance. While MEBW is not connected with NY Bee Wellness, we feel it is a tremendous resource for New York. Take a look at their web site. You’ll be glad you did.

Maine Bee Wellness wants to be a trusted source for Information about Honey bees and Native Pollinators in Maine. To achieve that, we need your help. If you see something factually inaccurate on this web site or in one of our publications, let us know by e-mail. Use the Subject ‘Website Issue’ and send to info@mebw.org. While we want to know about links that don’t work and attributions that are not quite right, for purposes of this challenge, we want to know about content issues.
